Case for Mezuzah “Jerusalem” 12 stones Art Collection
Mezuzah is a sacred scroll of parchment with the “Shema Yisrael” prayer. In it, God reminds Israel's people not to forget him and promises them blessings in return. According to tradition, the mezuzah scroll is attached to the doorjamb in every Jewish home.
David Roytman's craftsmen created this unique case using brass and solid genuine Italian leather. The image of 12 jewels is applied with acrylic paints. It symbolizes the 12 Knees of Israel - the descendants of Jacob, who, according to scripture, formed the Jewish people. In the center is the traditional letter “Shin,” the first letter of one of the Lord's names, Shadai. It means “the fire of God that devours all His enemies” and is a protective symbol.
