Tallit Art Collection

Tallit is one of the traditional prayer attributes of Jewish men. In ancient times, they wore this rectangular coverlet as a daily garment in the morning and used it as a blanket at night. Now men wear it during their daily morning prayers. On the edge of each tallit, it is customary to tie a tzitzit. This bundle of threads woven together is a reminder to keep the commandments.

David Roytman collaborated with Israeli artists to create his art collection. Together they created unique hand-drawn designs for each piece.

The tallit is made of natural woollen fabric. Artisans embellished it with leather inserts and decorated the collar area with abstract illustrations of the sun, harp, menorah, and hamsa. The corner of the piece features a leather insert for tzitzit. It is adorned with pictures of the Star of David and the sun. All paintings are acrylic, and the tzitzit is hand-woven using a natural thread.
