CHAI · MADE TO MEAN SOMETHING
A building on your head. The most recognized address in the Jewish world.
770 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn. Chabad headquarters, the house the Rebbe taught from, copied brick for brick on four continents. Jews who have never set foot in New York know the three gables on sight. This kippah borrows the shape: the crown is cut in panels after the facade.
It is raw denim, dark gray with black piping, cut and stitched after you order it. Denim softens with wear. The shape holds.
Most 770s leave here as gifts: bar mitzvahs, a first trip to Crown Heights, a son who moved away. Add the alder box with a date engraved, and in twenty years it will still say who gave it and why.

Engraved by hand
A name, a date, a line — engraved by hand on the piece, on the alder wood box, or both. This is what turns a purchase into a gift that gets kept.

“If you want something done right, do it yourself.”
David Roytman heard it from his commander in the IDF and built the house on it. From Odesa, through collaborations with Valentin Yudashkin, to an atelier where every CHAI piece is finished by hand. Chai spells life. Every piece here is one chosen finish, no options to scroll through. He chose, so you don't have to.
