Details & measurements
Tallit is one of the traditional prayer attributes of Jewish men. In ancient times, they wore this rectangular coverlet as a daily garment in the morning and used it as a blanket at night. Now men wear it during their daily morning prayers. On the edge of each tallit, it is customary to tie a tzitzit. This bundle of threads woven together is a reminder to keep the commandments.
Laconic, restrained design is the hallmark of the classic collection. The tallit is made of natural woollen fabric. The corner of the piece features a suede insert for tzitzit with an ornament and a curved Star of David, whose exclusive design was developed by David Roytman. The embossing is laser-engraved, and the tzitzit is hand-woven by artisans from a natural thread

CHAI · MADE TO MEAN SOMETHING
The alphabet on your shoulders.
A full-size tallit cut from wool, trimmed in velour, with the letters of the Hebrew alphabet along the band. Wool is the classic tallit for a reason: it drapes, it warms, and it takes decades of Shabbat mornings.
Sizes XS through XXL. The tallit is the most visible thing a man wears in shul; this one says something without shouting it.

Engraved by hand
A name, a date, a line — engraved by hand on the piece, on the alder wood box, or both. This is what turns a purchase into a gift that gets kept.
A person answers
Sizing, timing for a wedding or bar mitzvah, a custom request — write to us before you order and a person answers, not a bot.
“If you want something done right, do it yourself.”
David Roytman heard it from his commander in the IDF and built the house on it. From Odesa, through collaborations with Valentin Yudashkin, to an atelier where every CHAI piece is finished by hand. Chai spells life. Every piece here is one chosen finish, no options to scroll through. He chose, so you don't have to.
