Details & measurements
Every Jew says the kiddush prayer on Friday evening when the Sabbath begins, thanking God for the Sabbath days and holidays. Usually over a glass of wine.
The silver becher and saucer are handmade by artisans. Forms are elegant and simple, recalling modesty before tradition's greatness. Each piece is manually laser engraved with Hebrew letters.
The set will be a discreet and noble decoration of the traditional table on the Sabbath eve.

CHAI · MADE TO MEAN SOMETHING
Every blessing is spelled with these letters.
A becher and saucer in silver with the letters of the Hebrew alphabet worked around the cup. Every kiddush ever said was built from these twenty-two letters; here they hold the wine.
Bar mitzvah, wedding, a first grandchild: the silver cup is the gift that gets passed down, and the alphabet needs no explanation at any table.

Made when you order
Nothing here sits in a warehouse. Your piece is cut, stitched and finished after you order it — preparation takes 1–5 business days.
Shipping is in the price
Worldwide, insured, tracked. The price on this page is the price at checkout — shipping included.
Engraved by hand
A name, a date, a line — engraved by hand on the piece, on the alder wood box, or both. This is what turns a purchase into a gift that gets kept.
A person answers
Sizing, timing for a wedding or bar mitzvah, a custom request — write to us before you order and a person answers, not a bot.
“If you want something done right, do it yourself.”
David Roytman heard it from his commander in the IDF and built the house on it. From Odesa, through collaborations with Valentin Yudashkin, to an atelier where every CHAI piece is finished by hand. Chai spells life. Every piece here is one chosen finish, no options to scroll through. He chose, so you don't have to.
